Monte Cetona (1,148 m) was inhabited since prehistoric times and later explored by the Etruscans, crossed by pilgrims and guarded by partisans. On the top of Monte Cetona there is the large metal cross, which dominates the Valdichiana and the Val d'Orcia; from here the eye can reach the lands of Umbria and Lazio. In front of this breathtaking view, you will stop for a genuine packed lunch, before continuing the walk along an alternative path to the one on the way out.
