From Orosei: private jeep tour through archaeology and gastronomy

DESCRIPTION

Depart from Orosei with the Fuoristrada to explore the wonderful coast of central eastern Sardinia in a short but intense experience between history, nature, archaeology and food and wine.
Along a path between sea and countryside, with our expert guide you will arrive at the naturalistic area of Su Barone, famous for its large pine forests, where you can admire the local fauna in a particularly suggestive atmosphere. After a stop, you will head to the Nuraghe Gulunie of Osalla, a small jewel of nuragic architecture with views of the beautiful turquoise sea of the Gulf of Orosei. Among incredible views, you will make one last stop in a farm to discover, through a pleasant walk and a tasting, the secrets of the cultivation of an excellence of Sardinian enology: the Cannoau grape.

PROGRAM

• Stop in the pristine natural area of Su Barone, characterized by a large golden beach, bathed by emerald water typical of this stretch of coast, the thick pine forest behind the beach and the largest part of the pond of Su Petrosu-Avalè. In the wetlands you can admire a rich marsh avifauna: grey herons, egrets, coots, cormorants, moorhens, gulls, to which migratory species such as ducks, pink flamingos, knights of Italy are added periodically
• Short stop with walk to the Nuraghe Gulunie of Osalla, among the best preserved in the area of Orosei and among the few in Sardinia near the sea. From its position, you can admire a breathtaking view between the mouth of the river Cedrino and to the south overlooking the pristine and surrounded by the green beach of Osala, in the territory of Dorgali
• Stop in a vineyard in the countryside of Orosei, where you can enjoy a tasting and a walk through the rows of vines to hear from local producers, precious guardians of the territory and traditions and their passion for the cultivation of Cannoau grapes, used for the famous red wine, excellence of the island’s oenology
