Castle trip from Brasov: OPEN GROUP tour to Bran Castle, Peles Palace in Sinaia & ONE fortified church

The tour start with Peles Palace in Sinaia - the Pearl of the Carpathians.The inside visit will be the highlight of your day; the detailed ornaments in every room will take you back to the early 20th century and make you admire every inch of it's artwork.

Then, continue to Bran Castle. The guide will present the story of the castle together with the legend vs. truth about the cruel Vlad Dracula - The Impaler. You can buy several "Dracula” gifts at the souvenir market just outside the castle, but also local handmade artifacts of wool and wood.

Depending on availability, we will visit one of the three fortified churches: Prejmer, Cristian or Harman.

The most eastern Saxon village from Transylvania, Prejmer was often in the front line of enemy attacks which could only mean that the fortified church had to endure more sieges than most similar constructions from the region. Prejmer church is one of Eastern Europe’s best preserved fortified (and UNESCO listed) churches.

Harman church was originally built as a Romanesque three nave church, but was later taken over by the Cistercians. The interior features traces of different styles and eras.

Cristian church - the fortification surrounding the church was built in the first half of the fifteenth century in the form of an oval enclosure with eight towers and a bastion on the gate, doubled by a lower wall (zwinger) and a water ditch (today covered).
