Location
Departure from Brașov. Visit Rupea Fortress, one of the medieval monuments that has best withstood the passage of time, located in a region once on the frontlines of the Ottoman expansion into Central Europe.
Stop in Viscri. Here, we visit the fortified church, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as the village blacksmith.
We will then enjoy a traditional home-cooked lunch at a local peasant household.
Departure for Sighișoara, followed by a walking tour (approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes) of the medieval center. Here, we visit the Clock Tower, the most impressive tower of the citadel. Next, we stop at the Vlad Dracul House, where Vlad Dracul, the father of Vlad the Impaler once lived, and where Vlad the Impaler is believed to have been born.
At the foot of the Clock Tower, we visit the Weapons Collection and the Torture Room, the very space where prisoners were tortured during the Middle Ages.
