
Zrmanja River Trip - 4 days/3 nights kayaking, hiking and camping

Location
ACTIVITIES: This activity program is a well-balanced mixture of activity and nature. Your days will be filled with kayaking/canoeing down the magnificent Zrmanja River canyon and hiking in the Paklenica National Park. Please note that rafting boats are used in case of high water levels.
ACTIVITY LEVEL:
Basic kayaking experience is needed and the age limit is 8 years. We use two-person sit-on-top kayaks which are easy and safe to navigate. You will get a life jacket and a paddle, plus a long neoprene suit & rain jacket in case of cold weather. Waterproof containers are available for personal items (camera drinks, etc.). Shorts or a bathing suit, a T-shirt and sandals (or sports shoes) are all you need to wear on the river. Don't forget your towel, sun cream, water and picnic. All other gear for those two days will be stored in special dry bags.
For your hiking day, please bring light sports clothes, hiking shoes or sandals, and a hat. Please note that the terrain is rocky, so closed shoes are advised.

GROUP SIZE: Min 4 – max 16 persons per group; larger groups are on request.
NOTE: if the group has less than 4 persons signed up and the clients still want to do the trip rather than cancel, we charge 20% extra.
ACCOMMODATION: You will be accommodated in the campsite in Kaštel Žegarski, on the bank of Zrmanja River and right next to our rafting base. Located in
the heart of beautiful preserved nature, this unique canyon aquarium attracts the attention and admiration of all visitors. It’s a perfect harmony between man and nature. We will provide tents and sleeping mats. There is no better place to relax and enjoy than in the beautiful preserved nature of the river bank.

Please Note
Accommodation
You will be accommodated in our campsite in Kastel Zegarski – located in the heart of the beautifully preserved Velebit Nature Park and a perfect place for swimming in the river in your free time. The camp is located on the bank of the Zrmanja River and includes tents, sleeping mats, toilets, and an outdoor shower.
Note: Please bring your sleeping bag. Raftrek will provide tents and sleeping mats. A limited number of sleeping bags are available on request with a surcharge of 10 € per person.
Air Travel
Please check with us before purchasing your airline tickets to ensure your trip has the necessary minimum number of participants required to operate. Early arrivals / Extended stay notes – we include two transfers with each trip. These are usually the transfers on the first and the last day of the trip. In case you are arriving a few days earlier or extending your stay in Croatia after your trip with us, we can provide additional airport transfers.
Meals
All breakfasts and dinners will be home-made by your hosts at the base using mostly homegrown and local produce. We advise bringing your picnic lunches.
Note:
- Meals suited to certain dietary requirements will be provided upon request with prior notice.
- Shops in the area are scarce – stopping in a shop during transfers can be arranged.
