Italy

$ 7,161.40

Location

Live a one-of-a-kind experience that will leave a deep impression on your soul: tackle the Selvaggio Blu, the most difficult and exciting trek in Italy.
On the east coast of Sardinia, nature reveals itself in all its beauty and rawness among craggy rocks, cliffs, narrow canyons carved by ancient rivers, crystal clear sea and pristine forests. You will spend five days immersed in a unique setting, together with an experienced guide who knows the area intimately and who will accompany you safely along the original route, equipping critical passages and managing rope rappels. The route follows the ancient charcoal burners' mule tracks and intricate passages used by shepherds who inhabited these mountains for millennia. Your efforts in the wilderness, will be rewarded by delicious genuine local products and Sardinian dishes: each morning, you will receive a breakfast and a packed lunch, while your luggage will be waiting for you at the next camp, along with a hearty dinner.
If you are passionate about trekking and love wilderness and challenges, don't miss this experience in the Selvaggio Blu!

PROGRAM

DAY 1

Once you arrive at the Refuge, our guide will welcome you and you can set up your tent in the equipped area. Subject to availability, you will be able to use the small shared Bungalows (bunk beds). Following an initial briefing to clarify all doubts, you will settle in for a leisurely dinner at the restaurant.

DAY 2

Immediately after breakfast and a final briefing with your guide, you will move by 4WD to Santa Maria Navarrese, the starting point of the trek. The walk will begin along the sea, on an easy path, and then up the long climb to Punta Giradili. Despite the considerable elevation gain, the first day's walk is the most accessible and provides a good introduction to the challenges of the following days. Arrival at Ginnirco camp is estimated at 5 p.m. and you will spend the night under the starry Sardinian sky.

DAY 6

The trail finally becomes less rugged, and dense holm oak forests will provide shade for much of the way. From the last rope rappel, you will reach Cala Sisine, for a rejuvenating dip in the sea.
From the beach you will walk 2 km to reach the meeting point with the off-road vehicles, which will take you back to Rifugio Goloritzè to spend the last evening with your fellow adventurers. You will be able to pitch your tent in the equipped area and use the showers, before a hearty dinner at the restaurant.
