Sugar Loaf Tour Rio de Janeiro

Our Sugar Loaf Tour in Rio de Janeiro will take you to one of the main attractions of Rio de Janeiro. This unique rock formation also offers a fun way to reach its summit – the cable car. In operation since 1912, the cable car offers an exciting ride with a wonderful view of Urca, Copacabana and Botafogo area. The first part takes you from Praia Vermelha to Morro da Urca. The second one goes all the way to the top, at 390 meters high, where an amazing view awaits you.

Once at the top, you will be able to see the Guanabara bay area, downtown Rio, Niteroi city across the bay, as well as the neighborhoods of Botafogo, Flamengo, Copacabana and ipanema. Our guide will explain to the group about all the historical aspects of the place, as well as showing the spectacular views of the city. The place also offers coffee shops, restaurantes and some souvenirs stores, as well as a nice little museum, with videos and pictures about the construction of the cable car. Don`t miss this tour !

Tour Program:

Hotel pick up at 08:00 am or at 04:00 pm to see the sunset

After we arrive at the Cable Car station, the group will get on the line and wait to go up in the cable car.

There are two stages, one that reaches Urca mountain, and the other that reaches Sugar Loaf mountain.

We visit both Urca and Sugar Loaf mountains, checking up the amazing views of Rio city

We are back at the hotel around 11:00 am. End of our operations.
