Snowmobile Photography Trip to Hunt the Auroras

When trying to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights, it’s best to get away from the city lights that make the auroras less visible; and one of the best ways to do this is by snowmobile! It is adventurous and also allows you to enter areas inaccessible by cars.

While you are driving the snowmobile, you will be accompanied by professional photographers, who will assist you with both setting up your camera and taking pictures for you with their own high-quality cameras. Sit around the fire, and enjoy gingerbread cookies and hot blueberry juice.

Our photographers will help you with settings, composition, and lighting for you to take the best picture. At the end of the tour, you will be able to keep all the HD pictures taken by our photographers.

The photographer will share the photos of the Northern Lights in a single folder, accessible to anyone who participated in the tour and has the link. If you prefer a private link to access your photos, please inform us to book your private tour!

You will ride the snowmobile in pairs (twin riding), a driver and a passenger on each snowmobile, with the opportunity to switch during the ride. Feeling solo? You can drive a snowmobile by your self for the whole ride.

*Twin driving : two persons share one snowmobile together and take turns driving

Drinks and Snacks
Pick-up and drop-off are available from selected hotels within 10 km of the Rovaniemi city center.
- Guests staying within a 5-minute walking distance will meet at the Nordic Unique Travels office.
- Kindly make sure to provide the correct address exactly as shown on Google Maps.

Please Note

Northern Lights sightings cannot be guaranteed due to they are subject to weather conditions and the solar activity
Children under 3 years old are not allowed
At least 2 people are required for this tour to take place on weekdays and Saturdays
At least 4 people are required for this tour to take place on Sundays and public holidays
Twin driving means that the person has to share the snowmobile
If the child is 150 cm or taller, they can be seated on the snowmobile paying the adult's price
If the child is shorter than 150 cm, they must be seated in the sled pulled by the snowmobile, which is driven by our guide
Please be ready and wait at your selected pickup location 10 minutes prior to your scheduled pickup time
Drivers must have valid driving licenses and be at least 18 years old.
