Private Traditional Wood-Fired Sauna & Dinner in a Wilderness Cabin

You have to experience this traditional Finnish sauna! Here, you’ll get a glimpse into what we Finns love and what’s truly part of our DNA. Sauna is likely one of the reasons we Finns are among the happiest people in the world.

We will pick you up from your accommodation in the Levi area and head toward a traditional Lappish wilderness village, about a 40-minute journey. Waiting for us there will be a cozy, traditional cabin with a warm sauna, ready for you to enjoy. The sauna experience includes guidance, towels, foot baths, and even traditional sauna whisks (vihtas)! After the sauna, you can refresh yourself depending time of the year in the lake swimming,  by rolling in the snow or taking an ice dip—just remember that the ice dip is not recommended if you have any heart conditions!

After the sauna, you’ll enjoy a three-course meal in the cosy wilderness cabin: a starter soup, traditional sautéed reindeer with mashed potatoes, and Finnish bread cheese with caramel sauce for dessert. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions! Alcohol is not included, but if you would like wine, please inform us in advance, and we can arrange it.

After dinner, it’s time to head back to Levi. We always hope for Northern Lights to appear during the evening, but it’s never a guarantee.
