You can be picked up from your accommodation or it's closest bus stop in the Reykjavik Capital area.
Heading out of the city, we will drive into Hvalfjörður (Whale Fjord), where the legendary Glymur waterfall is located at the end of the fjord. The drive from Reykjavik takes approc. 1 hour and on the way your private guide will tell you about our wonderful country and its history, culture and folk lore.
Glymur is the second highest waterfall in Iceland, cascading 198 meters into a deep canyon. First you will walk a trail leading to the canyon where the river Botnsá runs. Hiking up the canyon to the top of Glymur takes approx. 1.5 hours, and when at the top, you will cross Botnsá river above the waterfall to hike down on the other side from Glymur. During your hike, you will experience magnificent views of the surroundings!
End this tour by relaxing in the Krauma geothermal bath by the Deildartunguhver hot spring, the most powerful hot spring in Iceland. Krauma has elegant bathing facilities and a very nice restaurant!
