Location

The Private Cairo Day Tour  to both the Egyptian Museum and the Pyramids of Giza is one of the most amazing tour  trips you can ever imagine. This tour starts with your private pickup from your hotel and then proceeds to the famous Pyramids of Giza which is situated in the Giza Necropolis (also known as the Giza pyramid complex.)

Pyramids of Giza tour

Constructed over 4500 years ago, these Giza Pyramids are the masterpiece creations of three Egyptian rulers named Pharaoh Khufu  , Pharaoh Khafre, and Pharaoh Menkuare respectively.

These Pyramids known as one of existing Seven Wonders of the World were said to be erected to help Egyptian kings enjoy a life of splendor and opulence in the afterlife!

Another wondrous sight that you’d be opportune to see on this Cairo tour  is the mysterious Sphinx monument, another amazing creation also created by/for Pharaoh Khafre. This limestone monument which is also situated in the Giza pyramid complex features the head of an Egyptian king and the body of a lion, and it is undoubtedly one of the oldest beauties of Egypt !!

Egyptian Museum in Cairo

Your day tour in Cairo, Egypt is incomplete without you seeing the Egyptian Museum, and that’s why you are rounding off your day tour with a tour of this Archeological Home of Egyptian Antiquities!

In the Egyptian Museum, you’d be thrilled by the sights of different Egyptian artifacts, and the most amazing of them is King Tutankhamun’s Tomb and His Artifacts which have received worldwide recognition.

According to history, King Tut was born as a product of incest (his father and mother were brother and sister), and his reign in Egypt started around 1324 B. C. when he was barely 9 years old; making him one of the few baby kings to be crowned in Egypt.

King Tut reigned for 10 years, as his reign was cut off by death, which some opined to be by assassination, and some believed to be as a result of underlying illnesses.

Although he was buried in a tomb smaller than his tall body could fit in, King Tut was buried with a total of 5,398 items in the tomb.

These items or artifacts as they are known as now include a pure gold coffin, a pure gold mask, chariots, sandal, trumpets, thrones, food, archery bows, a lotus chalice, wine, clothes, and over a hundred walking sticks (King Tut had a leg defect so he walked with the aid of walking sticks). In the Egyptian museum you will learn a lot about Ancient symbols in Egypt such as Life Symbol , Ancient Life in Egypt and Papyri
