Overview

18th-century Madrid. Your sister Juana, a folk healer, has been condemned by the Spanish Inquisition. Her head is shaved, she is covered in feathers, and tomorrow she will be paraded through the city to be beaten by the crowd. Tonight, you break her out.

This self-guided escape quest takes you on a walk through the heart of Madrid's Old Town. Using the Questo app on your smartphone, you guide Juana to safety at 13 stops: through the dungeons of the Holy Office, past the real Inquisition tribunal on Calle de Torija, down Bitterness Street into the Plaza Mayor, through the Mercado de San Miguel, past the former execution sites of the Plaza de la Cebada, and the street in La Latina that still bears Juana's name. Based on the real story of Juana Picazo.
