This tour starts in the village Kirkjubæjarklaustur. On this tour we drive the mountain road F208 to Landmannalaugar. The F208 is a challenging mountain route only suitable for 4x4 vehicles. It takes us through some of Iceland’s most stunning and rugged landscapes in the highlands of Iceland and offers access to various natural attractions. The route is challenging but incredibly rewarding for those who want to experience the untouched and dramatic natural beauty of the highlands of Iceland.
On our way we will visit Hólaskjól Highland Centre and Eldgjá Canyon before we reach Landmannalaugar.
Landmannalaugar is well known for its colorful mountains, hot springs, and beautiful lava fields. In this tour we stop for a while in Landmannalaugar. Travelers can take a bath in one of the hot springs and relax before we drive back. Hiking is optional for those who are willing to wear down their hiking boots.
