The 9/11 Museum displays over 10,000 artifacts linked to the events of 9/11/2001. The Museum has special exhibits, rotating galleries as well as 3 permanent exhibition sections which are:
- The Historical exhibition covering the Day of 9/11, Before 9/11 and After 9/11
- The Memorial exhibition commemorating the lives of those who perished on September 11, 2001
- The massive Foundation Hall housing the last column and the slurry Wall
You can also visit the National September 9/11 Memorial located next door featuring twin reflecting pools which sit within the footprints where the Twin Towers once stood.
Alternatively, take a poignant guided tour of the 9/11 Memorial & Ground Zero, where the tragic events of September 11, 2001 took place. Hear the story of 9/11 as you visit Ground Zero and pay tribute at the 9/11 Memorial Pools to the thousands of citizens and first responders who lost their lives on that fateful day in 2001. - Your cruise will be scheduled on the same day as your visit to either the 9/11 Museum or the Guided Tour, usually around 3-4 hours after the start of the experience to give you time to grab some food and make your way to the boat.
- The walking tour of 9./11 Memorial & ground Zero covers about 0.6 miles (1 km) (if option chosen)
- Plan to spend at least 45-90 minutes at the 9/11 Museum (if option chosen)
- The boat is wheelchair accessible for push-wheelchairs but is not able to accommodate electric wheelchairs.
- Please note, the cruise does not land at either Liberty Island or Ellis Island
- If you choose the option with One World Observatory, it is open daily 9am-9pm – but check opening hours for the day you plan to visit. One World Observatory tickets are anytime tickets and can be used any day, up to 7 days after the scheduled tour date. You will need to pass through airport-style security to enter the Observatory. During high season the wait at security can be up to 20 minutes
