In the morning, you will see the famous fish market, and the Noailles market for fruits and vegetables from here and elsewhere... The Noailles district is also the most atypical of Marseille...
You will take the time to appreciate the smells that emanate from all these small restaurants. At the bend in the street, you will surely hear other languages spoken, but it is the Marseilles accent that will not go unnoticed!
The Noailles district is colour, flavours, warm people and a multitude of different cultures all in one place. During the walk, the guide will tell you the history of this district as well as the culinary traditions of Marseille.
In the second part of the program you will discover the oldest district of France " le Panier ", which is located on the northern part of the Old Port of Marseille. Do you know where Marseille pastis comes from? You will meet an artisan distiller who will show us the successive stages of his production of his best Pastis and Absinthes. You will go into typical Marseilles shops ...
