Explore the Majestic Isokuru Gorge – Guided Hike to the Sacred Waterfall
Isokuru Gorge is the deepest gorge in Finland, with towering rock walls reaching over 200 metres. This dramatic landscape, shaped over 2.5 billion years and several ice ages, offers a unique and unforgettable hiking experience.
Follow an easily accessible trail through the gorge to Pyhänkasteenputous, the “Sacred Waterfall” – a must-see highlight of Pyhä-Luosto National Park. The walkway is wheelchair-accessible and suitable for the whole family.
During the hike, you’ll hear fascinating stories about Lapland: from ancient geological formations and ice ages to local traditions such as berry and mushroom foraging, as well as insights into the everyday life in the Arctic region.
