Starting from Fondamente Nove in Venice, we’ll board the vaporetto to reach the island of Sant’Erasmo, where we’ll begin our kayaking expedition. After a safety briefing and familiarization with the equipment, we’ll paddle through the lagoon’s tranquil waters, passing through saltmarshes teeming with wildlife and migratory birds. Along the way, we’ll explore the charming island of Burano, known for its colorful houses and lace-making traditions, before enjoying a break to sample local treats like the famous bussolai cookies.
As we continue through the lagoon, we’ll make our way to San Francesco del Deserto, a secluded island with a historic Franciscan monastery. The journey concludes with a scenic vaporetto ride back to Venice, where we’ll reflect on the unforgettable sights and memories of this remarkable adventure.
