Beijing Private Tour: Cruise to Summer Palace with Imperial Meal Experience and Panda House Visit
Beijing (China)
Location
Follow the footsteps of Qing Emperors by taking a boat from Purple Bamboo Park all the way to the south gate of the Summer Palace. The Imperial Waterway is also called Waterway of Empress Dowager Cixi, because she took it to the Summer Palace 32 times in her lifetime. With a history of more than 700 years, it is the only waterway in Beijing that related to the imperial families. The Summer Palace is an imperial garden used by Qing Emperor as a summer retreat. Built between 1750 and 1764, it is an outstanding masterpiece of Chinese landscape garden design. Also, you will dine on authentic Imperial Cuisine in Fangshan restaurant first run by some chefs from the Qing court in 1925 and now a state-owned company.
