Abrolhos Islands & Batavia Shipwreck Tour From Kalbarri
Kalbarri (Australia)
Location
Begin your afternoon with a scenic departure from Kalbarri, flying over the township before tracking south along the majestic coastal cliffs towering above Gantheaume Bay. These striking red sedimentary cliffs, over 400 million years old, were once part of an ancient coral reef system and create one of Western Australia’s most dramatic coastlines.
Continue west across the Indian Ocean to the spectacular Abrolhos Islands, a remote chain of 122 coral islands located around 65 kilometres offshore. The Abrolhos are the southernmost true coral reefs in the Indian Ocean and one of the world’s most important seabird breeding sites, supporting vibrant coral gardens and abundant marine life, including sea lions, dolphins, and seasonal whales.
Land on East Wallabi Island, renowned for its turquoise bays and pristine coral surroundings. Enjoy a delicious afternoon tea, served with tea and coffee, while taking in the peaceful island setting.
Your return flight to Kalbarri offers breathtaking aerial views over the Abrolhos coral atolls and the historic Batavia shipwreck site, where the Dutch vessel was wrecked in 1629 — one of Australia’s most infamous maritime stories.
