Abrolhos Island Discovery Full Day Tour with Pink Lake add-on from Kalbarri
Kalbarri (Australia)
Location
Begin your morning with a scenic departure from Kalbarri, flying over the township before tracking south along the majestic coastal cliffs towering above Gantheaume Bay. These striking red sedimentary cliffs are over 400 million years old and were once part of an ancient coral reef system, creating one of Western Australia’s most dramatic coastlines.
Continue west across the Indian Ocean to the remarkable Abrolhos Islands, a chain of 122 islands and coral reefs located around 65 kilometres offshore. The Abrolhos are the southernmost true coral reef system in the Indian Ocean and one of the world’s most important seabird breeding sites, with abundant marine life including sea lions, dolphins, and seasonal whales.
Land on East Wallabi Island, renowned for its turquoise bays and pristine coral reefs. Enjoy a short walk to Turtle Bay, where the morning is spent swimming and snorkelling in calm, protected waters surrounded by vibrant marine life.
Relax over an included lunch with tea and plunger coffee, with Standard, Vegan, and Gluten-Free options available, before joining a guided nature walk to discover the island’s abundant birdlife, neighbouring islands, and fascinating limestone cave formations.
On your return flight to Kalbarri, enjoy breathtaking aerial views of the Abrolhos coral atolls, the historic Batavia shipwreck site, and the vivid Hutt Lagoon Pink Lake near Port Gregory. Circle the lake to admire its striking colour before following the coastline back to Kalbarri Airport.
