What You Should Bring
We find most of our clients have in their possession already what is needed for our river rafting expeditions. We have broken down here the items into what you'll need on the river and in camp. Each guest will get a dry bag to use for the trip once in Victoria falls.
River Fashion:
- A pair of Chacos or similar sandals.
- 2 pairs of River shorts or swimming costumes -
- Long sleeved business shirt or lycra layer to wear under your life jacket.
- A baseball cap for under the helmet to keep sun off –
- Wide brimmed sunhat –
- Sunglasses.
- Nalgene or similar water bottle –
- Thermal Top. Medium weight - Heavyweight Capilene or polypropylene is the best. This is only necessary for cooler months
- Waterproof sunscreen and lip balm SPF15 minimum.
- Sleeping bags
For evenings and around camp
- 2 pairs lightweight long trousers
- 2 lightweight long sleeved shirts
- Fleece jacket – it can be cool in the morning and evenings
- T-shirts and shorts for around camp.
- Underwear.
- Glasses or Contact lenses. Disposable lenses are ideal.
- Toiletries. Toothbrush, toothpaste, biodegradable soap and shampoo.
- Forget the cosmetics and hair dryer! But we do suggest moisturizer
- Hand wipes and a small bottle of hand sanitiser.
- Small pack towel.
- Headlamp or head torch with spare batteries
- Shoes or boots for wearing around camp.
- Insect Repellent.
- Any medication you may be taking.
- Water proof camera such as Go Pro to have on the raft with you
- Small normal camera that can fit in our waterproof pelican cases
- You are welcome to bring your own inflatable mattress (lightweight)
