2 Hours Small Group Surf Lesson at Santa Monica

Join us for a 2-hour group surf lesson at Santa Monica Beach - one of Southern California’s most beloved beach destinations. Whether you’re trying surfing for the very first time or looking to improve your skills, our instructors create a supportive, fun, and educational environment that helps students feel comfortable and confident in the ocean.

This is not just a quick “try surfing” experience. Our lessons are designed to help you genuinely understand how surfing works. During the first 20–30 minutes on the beach, we’ll teach you the fundamentals of wave reading, timing, positioning, paddling, ocean safety, and proper surfing technique before entering the water.

Once beach instruction is complete, you’ll spend approximately one hour surfing in the ocean with professional instructor guidance. Our team provides coaching, wave assistance, and personalized feedback throughout the session to help students progress at their own pace. Afterward, you’ll still have time to continue practicing and enjoying the water using our surfboards.

One thing that makes our surf school different is the quality of our equipment. We use professional surf school teaching boards - not cheap rental boards - and select board sizes based on each participant’s height, weight, and experience level. This creates a safer, more stable, and more enjoyable learning experience for beginners and intermediate surfers alike.

For more than a decade, we’ve taught thousands of students with different athletic abilities, comfort levels, and backgrounds. You do not need to be highly athletic or already comfortable in the ocean to learn with us - our instructors know how to adapt to different learning styles and confidence levels.
