2-Hour Tulum Turtle Sanctuary & Coral Reef Snorkel by Boat
Tulum (Mexico)
Location
This is where Tulum Snorkel Services began, and it is still our guests' favorite way to discover the Caribbean. In two hours you will meet the reef's most beloved residents with a local team that knows every corner of these waters.
The ruins from the sea. Our boat leaves from Playa Pescadores, inside Jaguar Park, and first heads to the cliffs of the Tulum Archaeological Zone. We pause so you can take photos of the ancient Mayan city from the water while your guide tells its story.
Stop 1 – Sea turtle & stingray sanctuary (about 45 min). Float above the seagrass where wild sea turtles graze and rise for air just a few meters away, while stingrays glide over the sandy bottom. We observe them with respect: no touching and no feeding.
Stop 2 – Coral reef (about 45 min). Explore a beautiful section of the Mesoamerican Reef, the second largest barrier reef in the world, with colorful corals, schools of tropical fish and, very often, nurse sharks resting below.
Safe and easy for everyone. Your guide swims with you the entire time. Life jackets are provided for all guests and we carry snorkel gear in every size, so beginners and families with kids from 5 years old enjoy it as much as experienced snorkelers. Our boats take small groups, and if you get tired you can return to the boat at any moment.
Departures: 10:00, 12:00 and 14:00. Entry to Jaguar Park is free, and optional electric shuttles inside the park can take you to Playa Pescadores. After booking we send you step-by-step directions on WhatsApp.
